The Cable reports that a majority of senators voted to disapprove of the nominees, but the situation was brought under control by Bukola Saraki, who vetoed the decision after putting the vote twice with the ‘nay’ taking the day.
“Please colleagues let’s be serious. I will put it to vote again,” Saraki was quoted as saying after the first vote. When the ‘nays’ again had the second vote, Saraki simply said: “The ayes have it.”
