Kogi Gov Visits Lt. Col. Abu Ali’s Family, Gives Scholarship For 3 Children Left Behind
Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello has promised the family of late Lt. Col Muhammad Abu Ali that the state government will take responsibility for the education of his three children up to university level.
Bello made this promise yesterday when he paid a condolence visit to the family of late Abu Ali in Kaduna.
The governor, who accompanied by the Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Umar Ahmed Imam commiserated with Mrs Samira Abu Ali and her children. He promised not to forget the family.
Bello was on a 2-weeks break when the fallen hero was killed by insurgents while on national duty. On his return to Kogi State, the governor paid a condolence visit on the father of the slain soldier, HRH Brigadier General Abu Ali (Rtd) in his palace at Bassa.
Governor Bello extended his condolence to all families and loved ones of all who have lost their lives in the battle against terrorism and called on the federal government to improve the welfare of military personnel who are giving everything they have to protect Nigeria’s territorial integrity.
He urged the federal government not to forget the families of those who have died in active service.
